EASTER SEALS HAWAII CELEBRATES OPENING OF
THREE NEW SERVICE CENTERS, AND ONE RENOVATED SERVICE CENTER
Easter Seals Hawaii celebrated the opening of three new
service centers, plus the renovation of one of our Adult Day
Participants and their families joined ESH board members
and staff on September 14, 2012, for the blessing and
dedication ceremony of Na Hulu on Maui, a brand new building,
which houses Adult Day Health programs. Just over a month
later, on October 26th, we dedicated Kahiau, the new adult
and youth services building onKauai. On November 9, on Oahu,
we held a blessing and open house at our renovated adult program
buildings in Ewa Beach, and finally on January 25, 2013,
we blessed the new service center in Honolulu.
We want to thank the staff, the participants and all their
families for being so understanding and flexible during this past year.
In projects such as these, there are a number of moving parts--
employees, furniture, participants, construction crews, etc.--
to deal with and we appreciate your patience and support.
The demand for our services has increased and these new service
centers will allow us to expand existing services, plus offer new
programs to the people in the communities we serve. This is an
exciting time that is allowing us to grow our mission of serving
people with disabilities and special needs.
