Youth Services![]() The Youth Services Program provides social-recreational opportunities in a safe and nurturing environment designed to support and encourage self-esteem, independence, and social growth among school-aged youth with developmental disabilities and other special needs. Family Events Fun, social events where the whole family can participate, enjoy, and bond with other families. Family Workshops The goal of our educational workshops is to raise awareness and educate families on important issues such as Transition (from DOE school-based services to adult life, including guardianship) and Personal Safety (concepts about personal relationships and appropriate behavior), as well as discussing strategies on how to approach these issues. Families not only have the opportunity to bond and network with each other, but the workshop also provides an open forum for information exchange, serving as a valuable resource for parents, guardians and caregivers. The Dancing Palette’s mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to express themselves through art, music, and dance alongside high school students who act as peers and role models. This innovative program provides classes on art, music, and dance, and just as importantly, an opportunity for participants to be part of a social group that includes individuals of varying abilities. Participants are able to practice social skills in a safe and nurturing environment with teen volunteers who are sensitive to their needs. The Dancing Palette is available on Maui only. |
